The details:
August 10 – Tom is good. He increased our site speed SIGNIFICANTLY! The impact was instant and awesome!!
August 15 – Big thanks to Tom. Great work. Locations of the optimizations / files requested so we can perform theme updates (Shopify).
August 30 – It took 2 weeks, but he did reply and gave a soft answer on theme updates, implying he could help. Odd, so we put off the next theme update for a while.
October 18 – Past time for a theme update. Let’s do this. We check in with Speed Boostr and are informed that they need a $900/mo retainer to do theme updates, warning that if anyone else does the update, all optimizations will be lost or the store would be broken.
